Who we are

Cradle is operated by Alcantara-Rebeca LLC, which is the data controller for the personal data described in this policy. You can reach us at privacy@ourcradle.app.

1. What we collect

• Account details: your email address and display name.
• Quiz answers: your lifestyle, family, space, and transportation answers, used to build your persona and personalise your picks.
• Registry activity: the products you add, tick off, or remove from your Cradle list.
• Email preferences: your operational and marketing opt-in choices.

2. How we use it

We use your data to personalise recommendations, keep your registry list, run your account and subscription, and send the emails you opted into:

• Operational email (required): account confirmations, sign-in codes, subscription and registry updates.
• Marketing email (optional): new picks, monthly refreshes, and stage-based tips. You can switch this off any time in Settings.

We never sell your personal data, and we do not share your quiz answers with retailers or brands. We use your data on the basis of performing our contract with you (running your account and subscription), our legitimate interests (keeping the service secure and improving it), and your consent (optional marketing email).

We share data only with the service providers needed to run Cradle — hosting and analytics providers, and our Merchant of Record, Paddle, which processes subscription sales, payments, tax compliance, and invoicing — plus professional advisers and authorities where required by law. We keep your data only as long as needed to provide the service, then delete or anonymise it. We protect it with appropriate technical and organisational measures, including encryption and access controls.

3. Family and path-to-parenthood answers

Answers about who you're preparing with and how your family is growing are used only to make our communication with you respectful and relevant. They never affect which products we rank or recommend.

4. Cookies and storage

We use essential browser storage to keep you signed in and preserve your quiz answers and registry between visits. We do not run third-party advertising or tracking cookies.

5. Retailer links

When you open a retailer to add an item, their site's own privacy policy applies from that point onward. We send only a product search link — never your personal data.

6. Your choices

From Settings you can update your email preferences, change your password, and sign out. You can ask us to export or delete your account data at any time by emailing privacy@ourcradle.app.

7. Changes to this policy

We'll post any updates here and adjust the "last updated" date. Significant changes will also be announced in the app or by email.
